Lily A. Fitzpatrick

Supervising Paralegal

Lillian (Lily) has been with Battaglia & DeKoning since 2013, assisting with special needs trust administration, conservatorships, estate planning, probate and trust administration. She previously worked in the legal field for over 30 years with broad experience as a paralegal and legal secretary in the areas of plaintiff’s personal injury with an emphasis in construction third party actions, vehicle accidents, and workers’ compensation law for both applicant and defense claims. Lily graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences from San Diego State University. She is bilingual in English and Spanish and has been a notary public since 2008. She is a member of the San Diego Paralegal Association and the National Notary Association. In her free time, she enjoys spending time hiking with her family and walking her dog with her husband.

Nicole Isho

Paralegal

Nicole graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Upon graduating, she worked at an assisted living facility designated to care for patients being treated for psychiatric illnesses. She also has experience previously working as a legal assistant at a firm that heavily specializes in Family Law, Civil litigation, and Personal Injury. Whether it be through small actions or through her work, she has always been driven with the passion to assist individuals and families in ways that would enhance their quality of life and reach their goals. On her leisure time, she enjoys spending time with her family, exercising outdoors, and visiting new local restaurants/events.

Rebecca P. Williams

Paralegal

A San Diego Native, Rebecca started her work life in the hospitality industry. Her passion for working with people led her to transition into the legal sector. She graduated from San Diego State University with a double major, holding degrees in both Social Science and Spanish. In addition to being a Paralegal she is also a Certified Loan Officer and Notary Public. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and being outside.

Cecilia Marrujo

Legal Assistant

With over 20 years of experience, Cecilia’s administrative profession started in the non-profit education sector and has flourished in different ways. Her extensive background ranges from inside sales to teaching San Diego history as a museum docent. She is a strong believer in bringing compassion into the workplace, especially within sensitive settings and strives to live up to her values. In the past, she has volunteered with Father Joe’s Villages, Art Corps and Free Mom Hugs. In her free time, she enjoys being in nature, creating art and spending time with friends and family.

Aree L. Burke

Legal Assistant

Aree graduated from San Diego State University with a BS degree in Finance. Aree has been a stay-at-home mom, school volunteer, and Girl Scout troop leader for the past twenty years. For the past ten years, she has also worked part time as legal assistant for Attorney Dennis Burke who practices workers compensation law. Previous to working as a Legal assistant, Aree worked in the financial sector. She enjoys hiking, tennis, cooking and spending time with her family.

Nilda M. Seda

Legal Assistant / Bookkeeper

Nilda is a native of New Jersey and earned her bachelor’s degree from Pace University in New York. She worked in the accounting field for many years before becoming a stay-at-home mom. She was actively involved in volunteering at her son’s schools and driving her kids to all their sporting events and activities. Nilda joined the firm in 2017 as a bookkeeper and dabbles in human resources and IT. She is an avid fan of the New York Yankees.

Canine Resources

Canyon is an Aussiedoodle, originally from Florida. He became a member of Battaglia & DeKoning in June of 2019 and is involved with all aspects of the day-to-day management of the firm. Canyon checks on everyone at the firm to make sure they are hard at work and to see if anyone is offering a belly rub or a cookie. When he is not at the office, Canyon enjoys fetch, walks, swimming, and nap time. He also competes at dog agility competitions on the weekends.
