Probate

Probate is the process by which the Court supervises the administration of a deceased
individual’s estate and the distribution of their assets in accordance with the terms of the
their Will, or if there was no Will, according to California’s laws of intestate succession.

Upon the death of a loved one, it can be a hardship for grieving family members to have to
deal with some of the many aspects of Probate, including the preparation and filing of the
initial Petition for Probate and related forms, preparing the Inventory and Appraisal of
Assets, responding to Creditor Claims, and preparing a Final Accounting and filing it
along with a Petition for Final Distribution of the Estate. These are the types of tasks we
can assist with to alleviate some of the pressure on the family and personal representative
during this difficult time.
